“All the time. It’s a dangerous sport Ella. People suffer life changing injuries in the boxing ring.”
“Well I’m glad you gave up too. I wouldn’t want to watch you being hit.”
“They wouldn’t get a hit in, I’d knock em out.”
“Yeah right Rocky, dream on big man.”
The next night Joe filled the huge Jacuzzi bath with bubbles and we took a bath together. One of my favourite things to do was to lie together like this, our bodies all slippery and warm. I sat in between Joe’s legs, my back to his front as we revelled in the feeling of each other, stroking each other’s arms and legs and being us. We didn’t even need to speak, just lying together being close was enough. I loved to turn my head and hear his heart beating against his strong chest. It felt like we were one being, one entity lying here.
“I could stay here all night.” I sighed.
“Me too baby.”
He kissed the top of my head and I rolled around and onto my front to kiss him on the lips, needing to taste him, and feel him. He bent his knees and shuffled forward slightly so I could sit in his lap. Being so close together like this, my legs open and feeling him growing hard beneath me changed the atmosphere from tender to erotic. I wasn’t complaining. I lent forward pressing my soft breasts to his hard muscly chest and ran my fingers through his dark wavy hair. He was so handsome with his grey sparkling eyes and square jaw. The stubble around it adding that masculine touch I adored.
“You’re beautiful.” I said as I lightly stroked his face. He didn’t believe me.
“You’re the beautiful one Ella, I’m one lucky man.”
“Let’s agree we are both lucky. But you are beautiful. My beautiful man, all mine.”
“Always.”
I kissed him softly and after a while, he put his hand at the back of my head and pulled me into him further deepening our kiss. His tongue was the sweetest thing I could imagine tasting, the feel of him intoxicating. He always pulled me under his spell.
His hands were soft and gentle, making their seductive journey up and down my back, to my ass and over my thighs. The water gently lapped as we caressed each other and teased each other. I drew back and looked in his eyes. The grey was sparkling now like diamonds, lit up with anticipation. His eye lids hooded and breathing more deeply now.
“I want you Joe.”
“Ride me sweetheart.”
I lifted up and held his cock, gripping him firmly in my hand and rubbing up and down then along my folds before teasing him at my entrance.
“I love it when you do that.” He moaned as I rocked ever so slightly over the tip and pushed down just a fraction to give him a taste of what was to come. I pushed up pulling the tip out again and rubbing it along me. Then when I had worked us both up to the right level of want and need, I pushed down hard, both of us crying out as I did. Joe held my ass to maintain his much needed control over my movements and I held onto his chest and shoulders pushing up and down, grinding onto him as the water started to splash and slide over the edge of the tub. We didn’t care though, our pleasure took precedence over everything right now.
He thrust his hips up in time with me as we worked together to create the spectacular ending. As I felt the burn and tingling sensation between my legs I leant back, my head thrown back in abandon. I had no control over my pants or the moans of ecstasy that were coming out of my mouth now. The burn became an itch and pulse and I knew I was so close.
“Try to hold it Ella. Stay in control.”
“I can’t.” I gasped, but I tried to hold it back, build the sensations further, and control the waves.
“I’m close, just hold on Ella.”
I grabbed his shoulders now, my head lolling forward and eyes closed concentrating on the growing intensity of my pulses. Fighting hard to control them and not erupt on him before he was ready for me.
Then finally, “Come Ella.” He cried and I let it go. My spasms and contractions complemented his throbs and slow thrusts as we brought each other to the ultimate in ecstasy. We worked together so well, it was as if he was the key to opening up a whole world of pleasure for me, that had always stayed locked and hidden before. As I rode out the blissful sensations I lay on his chest.
“I think we flooded the bathroom floor.”
“I couldn’t care less Baby.” He replied. “I’d happily flood this whole hotel if you do me like that again beautiful.”
I hugged him close to me feeling the most contented I’d ever felt in my life. ‘Please God don’t burst this bubble.’ I prayed quietly to myself.
I love live bands and concerts, I especially love the theatre too. But nothing could have prepared me for how truly spectacular a live boxing match like this in the best venue in Las Vegas would be. It was full of glitter, sparkle and fabulous elegance from the ladies and broody, masculine power from the men. Joe had got us ring side seats and I was sure we were sitting amongst some well-known faces, but I daren’t look for fear of appearing rude. I wanted to look like I belonged here, Joe certainly did. The man knew how to rock a well-tailored suit. He made my mouth water. I had chosen a full length red dress that hugged my curves. I loved the way Joe held my hips and waist when he walked next to me, not to mention the way he grabbed my ass whenever he could get away with it.
He was super attentive to me explaining everything and letting me know what to expect. I could have been watching a pair of clowns dance around in the ring, I didn’t care as long as he was with me. People around us looked at him in awe and I wondered if they knew who he was. He commanded attention in most rooms, but in an arena like this most people would be lost in the crowd, but not my Joe, he oozed the kind of charisma that made men admire him and women fall for him. It made me feel slightly intimidated, could I hold his attention forever?
“Have I told you how sexy you look tonight?” he whispered in my ear.
“You can show me later in the infinity pool if you like?” I purred.
He growled and brushed his hands down to my ass pulling me closer.
“I’ll show you in every room, surface and position possible. That’s if I can wait that long, I might have to drag you into the bathrooms here baby.”
“Whenever you need me.”
“Always.”
The hype in the arena was incredible and as they built up the excitement, Joe kept constant contact with me, stroking, cuddling and kissing me.
“I like how affectionate watching boxing makes you.”
“It’s not the boxing, it’s the hungry eyes from every man in here. They all want you.” He said with a jealous edge.
“You’re seeing things.”
“Am I? You might not notice it but I do.”
“Marking your territory then?”
“Definitely.”
“I better do the same then.” He cocked his eyebrow at me.
“Well you attract as much interest from the women as you seem to think I do with the men.”
“So there’s gonna be a lot of disappointed people going home alone tonight then.” He kissed me on the lips as the announcers gave the introductions for the fighters. Then he snaked his arms around my waist as we stood to watch the fighters each enter the arena and take to the ring. The noise was deafening and exhilarating, the strobe lights spectacular. I lent my head on Joe’s chest and revelled in the atmosphere.
“I’m so glad you brought me here, I love it.”
“They haven’t started yet.” He laughed.
I was surprised at how exciting I found the actual match, I found myself getting washed away with the lights, sounds and smells. Every now and then I snatched a glance at the Adonis beside me and smiled to myself. A year ago I had been living with Adam, down trodden and unknowingly being cheated on and treated like crap. Now here I was in the most amazing city in the world with the sexiest man alive, safe in his arms and he was all mine. Life certainly had delivered some surprises my way recently and
I felt truly grateful.
When the final round came one of the fighters stumbled against the ropes and fell to the floor and the other was hailed the winner. I was terrible at remembering their names, but Joe thought it was bizarre that I’d never heard of either one of them. It didn’t matter though, we were both wired and neither one of us wanted to come down yet.
“Let’s get drunk and dance till the sun comes up.” I said.
“I have a better idea.” Joe winked.
We finished our drinks and made our way out of the arena and towards the hotel bar. Joe ordered me champagne and a whisky for himself. We drank like it was water, giggling and acting like a couple of teenagers.
After our fourth or fifth drink, I’d lost count to be honest, we linked hands and walked out on to the strip. Joe was the most relaxed I’d ever seen him. He was happy to wander down the street with me hand in hand. No chauffeur or car in sight.
Suddenly he stopped dead in his tracks and spun me into him.
“Woah! Steady there my balance is shit. I’m a little, little bit drink you see.” I sniggered like a naughty school girl.
“Marry me Ella.”
I threw my head back and laughed, “You’re still not on your knees ace. Don’t ask me to go down.” I giggled at the double entendre in my sentence, but Joe wasn’t laughing.
“I’m serious Ella, marry me now.” He nodded his head behind me and I turned to see the Las Vegas chapel behind us advertising weddings by the hour, including dresses, rings and any other thing you would need for a wedding.
“You can’t be serious, that’s crazy.”
“Why is it crazy? I love you Ella. It makes perfect sense, we are here so why not go for it?”
“Err because I don’t want to get married with a bunch of strangers and only Elvis to oversee everything. I want my friends there, my Nan.”
“You don’t have to have Elvis there, it is a proper wedding. Anyway we don’t need anyone else here. We could do this now and have another wedding at home for everyone else.”
“What’s the rush, are you pregnant Joe?” I joked.
“Is it a yes?”
“No.” I stepped away from him, the buzz of the alcohol wearing off way too quickly now.
“Why? I thought you said you’d never say no to me?”
“I’ve told you why, I don’t want to. Not here. Please Joe, don’t spoil a wonderful night with this.”
He was pissed off and I had to grab his arm as he went to walk away from me.
“What is all this about? Why are you so desperate to get married all of a sudden?”
“No reason.” I saw it straight away, deep in his eyes. He was lying to me. Something was going on and I had no idea what it could be. He looked down at the pavement, and I was gutted at how quickly the evening had taken a nose dive.
“I don’t believe you, somethings wrong. Is this about what happened in your past? The websites, videos and all that rubbish?”
“No it’s not and nothing is wrong. I love you. I want to make you mine in a more permanent way that’s all. What’s wrong with that?”
“I am yours, I don’t need a piece of paper to tell me that.”
“Well I do. Isn’t that enough?”
“No it isn’t.” I wasn’t going to back down on this.
“Don’t you love me enough? Don’t you want to get married?”
“I love you more than anything you know that and yes, I would be honoured to marry you Joe but not here, not now.”
He looked defeated, his body language turning defensive and standoffish. I had to put a stop to this now. I stepped forward to put my arms around him and look up into his tanned, lovely face.
“Don’t be mad at me champ, I don’t want us to argue.”
“Me neither.” He sighed and kissed me on the forehead.
“If you like we could go ring shopping.” I looked up at him now with a cheeky grin on my face, a day of shopping for sparkly things sounded like the perfect way to end an amazing break away.
He beamed down at me now.
“I’d love that princess.”
‘Phew’ I thought, ‘definitely dodged a bullet there’. As much as I wanted to marry my beautiful man, I didn’t want to do it in such a hurry in a Vegas chapel that churned weddings out like a factory line. I wanted it to be special, a day I’d always remember fondly for the rest of my life. I wasn’t planning on doing it more than once unlike my wayward Mother.

I sat on the bed getting ready for work and admiring the sparkle of the huge diamond ring that Joe had brought me in Las Vegas. It was a flawless 18 carat emerald cut diamond on a split shank band with micro pave diamonds running along the side. It was truly stunning and the most expensive thing I’d ever owned. I couldn’t think about the value of it too much or I felt sick. Joe hadn’t let me see the cost in the jewellers but I knew it was crazy money, I saw what some of the smaller ones were being sold for and the fact that the owner closed the store when we were in there told me we were dealing with a big money purchase. My ring was like something a film star would wear.
He strode into the bedroom in his pinstriped suit looking totally edible and making me rethink the whole going to work idea today. Why work when I could play at home with him?
“Do you like it?”
“I love it.”
He kissed me then held my hand to look at his ring, his face a mixture of pride and self-satisfaction. I felt relieved that talk of rushed weddings and ownership had died down. Sometimes Joe had a habit of bull dozing through my life making things bend to his wishes. As much as I loved him, I still needed to be me and make my own decisions.
“I’m not going to wear it for work though, I’d prefer to keep it here for now.”
“What?” Oh God I’d done it again, woken the beast within, he did not look happy with me.
“I don’t want to go into work flashing a huge rock on my finger, I’d rather keep it quiet. Anyway I don’t want to damage it as I’m working.”
He shook his head, stalking off to the bathroom obviously pissed off. His shoulders hunched and he slammed something down on the bathroom counter making me wince in shock.
“What’s the problem? It’s not like I’m throwing the ring back in your face. I’ll put it back on tonight.” I ventured cautiously.
He came storming into the bedroom looking like he was about to kill someone and I felt myself sloping backwards away from him.
“I put that fucking ring on your finger for a reason.” He pointed his finger at me as he darted forward. “No one… not even you should take it off.”
You could have knocked me down with a feather I was so shocked at his overreaction. It was just a ring, I couldn’t understand what the issue was here.
“But it doesn’t change anything. I don’t understand why it’s such a big deal.”
“It is to me.” He growled.
He just didn’t get it, I mused to myself whilst he paced the floor like a caged animal. I wasn’t backing down. I could just imagine the third degree I’d get from Chris, not to mention Kim’s gossip mill would be working overtime and Colin would no doubt put his opinion into the mix. All things I could do without right now.
“What would I say to my bosses if they asked me about it? I’m not ready to tell them I’m with you yet. Please Joe, I won’t ask for anything else, but I just need time.”
“Fine.” He snapped and snatched his keys from the table. “I need to get to work, are you coming?”
I popped the ring into its velvet box and placed it into my bedside cabinet.
“Don’t leave it there, I’ll put it in the safe.” Joe took the box and stomped off to his office to lock it away. I felt like running away myself at that point. I seemed to have a habit of upsetting him and pissing him off just lately. I felt like crap today anyway so an
argument was just the icing on the cake for my morning. I hoped the office had a good vibe because I would probably burst into tears if someone shouted at me today.
An hour later and I was slumped over my desk feeling like I had some kind of flu coming on and struggling to drink my morning coffee.
“Morning Ella, how was the research trip?” Eric sauntered through the office and sat down between mine and Chris’s desks looking chirpy.
“It was great, I’ve had some really good ideas for the opening of the health club. I think the fire might have been a blessing in disguise, it’s given us more time to plan something spectacular, extravagant.” I was lying but he didn’t need to know exactly what I’d been researching in bed with Joe all weekend.
“Any news to feedback Chris?” He asked.
“I have the most amazing stuff to email over to you Eric. Watch this space and I’ll wing it over to you before the end of the day okay.”
“I’ll look forward to that Chris.”
Eric stood up and made his way to the back of the offices and into Frank’s room.
“Great things huh? What you been cooking up in my absence Chris?”
“Sweet F A baby doll, so it looks like a working lunch for me. I spent most of last week catching up with deadlines from the week before. I am drowning here Chica.”
“I’m sorry I know I haven’t been much help these last few weeks. I’ll bring you some lunch, I’m popping out later anyway.
“That’d be great Elle, thanks. So how was the trip?”
I bent my head feeling embarrassed to say anything. Everyone was so overworked and feeling stressed out, yet I’d spent the past few days gallivanting around Las Vegas having a fabulous time. I couldn’t tell Chris that, it would sound selfish.
“It was… interesting.” I mused, “Useful.”
“Hmm why do I sense a hidden story there? You are keeping things from me Ella Reid. I don’t like secrets.”
“No secrets Hun, just nothing to tell really.”
“How’s Joe?”
“Grumpy and agitated last time I saw him, but then I seem to have a habit of pissing him off lately.” I grimaced.
